When we were ready to do our kitchen, we met with Daryl and Ed. We provided a basic sketch of our ideas. They took measurements and returned with a basic sketch of what could be done. Then when we were ready, they had a walk through with all of the trades to get a more accurate quotation for the contract. They made choosing major components of the kitchen much easier by accompanying us to tile stores, bathroom/kitchen fixture dealers, granite suppliers and an appliance store. Once a granite countertop was chosen, other choices fell into place based on the colors of the granite.
Daryl listens to what we want and then makes suggestions on how to improve/implement what we are imagining. While we knew a garden window would make our kitchen colder so therefore was not feasible, they thought of a way I could still have my herbs growing in the kitchen by using Ed's woodworking talents.
One of our concerns in re-doing the kitchen was how to coordinate all of the different trades needed to do the job. The general contractor takes care of all of that, plumbers, electricians, drywallers, painters, etc. are under their direction and coordination, we do not have to worry about working out schedules. If we have an issue with anyone we call Blackberry and they take care of everything.
Whenever we have had a question or concern it has been answered or taken care of in a helpful, friendly, quick manner. They understand that this is an overwhelming undertaking for us though it is an everyday routine for them. Their clean up is a big part of our positive experience. They ensure that we are left with a livable space. They always let us know what to expect next. Any adjustments are made promptly and courteously. Daryl always returns our phone calls.
